The Early Diagnosis of Osteoporosis
A quick software assisted scan, which lasts 60″ for the spine and 40″ for the femur, provides simultaneous acquisition of images and corresponding Radiofrequency signals.
The algorithm automatically identifies the volumes of the target bone and discards wrong acquisitions and artefacts, providing an instant medical report.
This innovative technology helps to facilitate safe, more accurate diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis a primary care procedure. Data analysis includes the calculation of the Osteoporosis Score and Fragility Score, based on the correlation between frequency spectra of acquired RF signals and the appropriate reference models of “osteoporotic” and “frail” bones, respectively. BMD, Tscore and Z-score are then derived from the O.S. value.
